Faith To Stand

As I look forward to 2011 and what God is going to do for me personally and for MVP Artist Management, I think about what it's going to take to see those things come to fruition. FAITH IS WHAT IT'S GOING TO TAKE! I think about the children of Israel and how God had promised to give them their own land flowing with milk and honey, it took them 40 years to see that land partly because of their own disobedience but many of them like Joshua believed the word of the Lord even though it may have seemed like it wasn't going to happen. I think about my own situation with starting my company three years ago and I haven't seen the success that I have been hoping and praying for and I wonder Lord when! But I can't give up I've got to have "Faith To Stand" even when I don't see it. I'm on my grind everyday making contacts for my artists trying to get labels and booking agents to pay attention and realize the talent and gift that's in them. I never thought for one minute that it was going to be easy but I will admit that I thought I would be further along than I am now. I keep going because of Faith! Faith is not only a fact but it is also an act, I've got to keep on grinding until my change comes. We need the kind of faith that does not just sit back and say "what will be will be" but we need the kind of faith that goes out and makes it happen. We've got to stand on God's word and declare that it will be and then receive the blessing!

2011

There were alot of things that did not happen for me in 2010 like I had hoped and prayed for but I will not loose faith I will keep beleiving and trusting that God will bring me those things in 2011. I was reading my December edition of Black Enterprise Magazine and Earl Graves Sr. said "As we close out this year to make way for 2011, I challenge you to hold on to your dream and stay committed to striving to realize it. Keep the faith. Never give up. Do not surrender your hope". This is what I intend to do as I close out 2010 and bring in 2011!

New Year's Resolution

I have decided not to make any New Years resolutions for 2011. What I am going to do is learn from the mistakes I made in 2010 and try not to repeat them again. Not sure why people make resolutions in the first place only not to honor them and then feel bad about it. If you are not happy with where your life is going then change it "JUST DO IT" don't make a resolution to do it. The Lord has given all of us the power to change our lives, some of us take advantage of that oppurtunity and some of us miss the mark. I never understood how people can complain about all the things that are wrong in their lives but never take the steps to change them.

I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year! Let us not forget about the "real" meaning of Christmas, it is not about how many gifts we give or recieve but it's about the gift that God gave us - HIS SON!

Change - As a good thing

Part of success is knowing when to recognize change as a good thing. Sometimes things "don't" work out for our good. There are times when God closes a door and it's actually a blessing to us instead of a curse. There were some changes that were made as it relates to the record label my artist Rodney Archie was signed to. I've never been a quiter and considered myself the eternal optimist but you gotta know when to fold em and when to hold em. I trust God that he has not brought me this far to leave me.
